The beginning of the entrepreneurial journey: Dreams taking root in a small factory (2008-2011)
In the spring of 2008, Kingway quietly emerged in a rented 800-square-meter factory. The founding team consisted of only 12 people, with rudimentary equipment, but they harbored an incredibly ambitious dream—to create a trustworthy international brand. During those early days, the team often worked late into the night, meticulously refining and testing the first batch of products until they fully met export standards.
"Our greatest asset at that time was our belief," the founder recalled. "Every employee wore multiple hats, but everyone believed that we were creating something valuable."
It was this spirit that enabled Kingway to secure its first long-term order from a European client within three years of its founding, laying a solid foundation for future development.
First expansion: Acquiring our own land and workshop (2012-2017)
In 2012, Kingway took a crucial step – purchasing its first industrial land. The following year, the first three-story office building and the first standardized production workshop were built, covering an area of 5,000 square meters.
"Owning our own production base means we can fully control the quality process," said the production director. "We introduced our first automated production line, increasing our production capacity threefold, and achieving a significant leap in product consistency."
During this period, Kingway established a systematic quality management system, obtained several international certifications, and began exporting products steadily to more than twenty countries and regions. The team also expanded to 80 people, forming a complete structure encompassing R&D, production, sales, and service.
Production Capacity Leap: Workshop No. 2 and Scaled-Up Production (2018-2019)
With rapidly growing market demand, by early 2018, the production capacity of Workshop No. 1 was nearing saturation. The company quickly decided to launch the expansion project for Workshop No. 2, adding an area of 8,000 square meters.
"The expansion is not just about increasing space, but also about upgrading our production philosophy," the project manager explained. "We introduced an intelligent warehousing system and a lean manufacturing management model, which increased production efficiency by 40%."
The commissioning of Workshop No. 2 enabled Kingway's annual production capacity to exceed 400 containers, allowing it to handle multiple large international orders simultaneously and placing its delivery capabilities among the industry leaders.
Scale Expansion: Phase III factory buildings and new office building completed (2020-2023)
In 2020, Kingway reached another development milestone – the completion of its third factory building and a 3,300-square-meter modern office building. The entire production base now covers an area of 15,000 square meters, forming a complete industrial park.
The new office building features an advanced R&D center, testing laboratories, and a customer experience area. Each floor has open collaborative spaces, reflecting Kingway's open and innovative corporate culture.
"The new office environment has greatly improved the team's innovation efficiency," said the head of R&D. During this period, Kingway's product line was further enriched, its overseas market expanded to more than 30 countries, and its annual sales exceeded 100 million yuan, making it a benchmark export enterprise in the region.
Strategic Transformation: Diversified Business Layout and System Solutions (2024 to present)
In 2025, facing market changes and evolving customer demands, Kingway launched a strategic transformation, fully entering the research, development, and sales of building system products.
"We are no longer just a component supplier, but a partner providing comprehensive solutions," explained the Strategic Development Director. "We have integrated new material research and development, structural design, and intelligent control systems to create higher added value for our customers."
This transformation has already shown initial success. In the first three quarters of this year, building system products accounted for 35% of total sales, and strategic partnerships have been established with several internationally renowned construction companies.
Looking ahead: A global perspective, deeply rooted in local markets
Standing at a new starting point, Kingway has formulated its development strategy for 2025-2030: while deepening its presence in the European and South American markets, it will expand into the North American and Southeast Asian markets; building on its existing strengths in Waterproof Breathable Membrane, Vapor Barrier, and Aluminum Foil products, it will transition to Waterproof tape and building tape; and while maintaining its manufacturing advantages, it will strengthen R&D and brand building.
"Our goal is to become a trusted partner in the global building systems field," the founder envisioned. "No matter how the future unfolds, we will remain true to our original aspiration – connecting the world with high-quality products and earning trust with reliable services."
Sixteen years, from rented factory buildings to a modern industrial park; from a single product to system solutions; from a local enterprise to an international brand – Kingway's story is a history of perseverance and innovation, and a microcosm of the transformation and upgrading of China's manufacturing industry. In the future, this journey will continue, carrying its accumulated experience and dreams to a broader global stage.
